What languages do you speak?

I usually conduct the tutoring session only in English because it provides more opportunities for the student to practice listening and responding.  In rare instances, I may use the student's native language, when possible, to ensure comprehension.  I speak Cantonese, Mandarin and Spanish. 

How much do you charge?

One-on-One Tutoring

I usually charge between $90 to $110 per hour depending on how complex the student's needs are.  For each hour I spend with the student, I usually spend an additional hour customizing a lesson plan for the student and assessing the completed homework.  I only charge for the time I spend with the student and do not charge for the time used to prepare for the lesson.   

Small Group Tutoring

For groups of two to four students, I charge $50 per person per hour.  These sessions last for two hours.  Students can form their own group or inform me of their interest in joining a group.
